The Pow Wow Grand Entry which featured Manataba Descendants, drum groups from around the southwest, and numerous Tribes attracted hundreds of spectators to the Ballpark at Manataba Field. CRIT Chairwoman Amelia Flores welcomed the group asking them to, “Remember to dance for our water, our resources, our land.”

Day three on November 23rd,  crowds were entertained with a festive parade on Joshua Ave in Parker, AZ. It was followed by a Thanksgiving community lunch at the BlueWater Resort & Casino. The Pow Wow continued with a Gourd Dance, additional Bird Singing contests and more.

CRIT Chairwoman Flores remarked, “The event has survived because of the dedicated volunteers and people on our Fair/Expo committee. It is a tremendous amount of work. The committee appointed by the Tribal Council sets the budget, organized the activities, including a carnival. That’s hard work, and they worked as a team.”
